Thread!

There are a large variety of different threads avail- able and it is my job to be the “thread expert” for all the different types of projects I work on.

What is the difference between them all and why does thread choice matter? There are a number of different thread brands avail- able. I work with a variety of brands and contents depending on the project. Often times polyesters are used for serging and blind hemming window treatments. Nylon can be a go-to for upholstery. Cotton threads or coated threads can be the choice for cotton fabrics. I rely on my experience to select the best thread for the job.

Depending on the project I mainly concern myself with longevity/durability and the mostly invisible characteristics it might have so the fabric can be the star. --Freddie
